Cyber Security student Archie Hancock joined the SFO Digital Forensics Unit (DFU) last September for a year-long student placement. He recently shared his experience with Bournemouth University students, saying:
“From decrypting files that could assist in making or breaking a case to helping extract data from a suspect’s phone or laptop, it was once theory and now is my every day.
“The trust and responsibility that the SFO’s DFU, along with the entire organisation, give you as a student is incredible, and in turn, it makes you want to perform to the best of your ability.”
