27 March 2025Croatia: Two individuals and one company convicted in connection with project for waste-sorting plant The County Court of Zagreb (Croatia) has convicted two individuals (including a public official) and a construction company of abuse of office and authority and of aiding and abetting those offences, following an investigation by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) in Zagreb into the construction of a waste-sorting plant in Mihačeva Draga. The total value of the project was €3,6 million, co-funded by the EU’s Cohesion Fund to up to 85%.
