On Tuesday, 19 November 2024, members of the General Board of AMLA met virtually for an exchange of ideas and insights that brought together national supervisory authorities and Financial Intelligence Units involved in anti-money laundering (AML) and countering the financing of terrorism (CFT) across the EU.

This preparatory meeting ย marks the first gathering of members of the AMLAโ€™s future General Board, after the agencyโ€™s official creation in June.ย 
ย 
Tuesdayโ€™s meeting provided an opportunity to discuss AMLA’s structure, upcoming developments, and next steps to make AMLA operational by mid-2025. This meeting allowed General Board members to connect and share different perspectives, and further strengthen our shared vision for a more secure Europe.
